Junior Life Science Product Support Specialist

Division: Marketing
Reports To: Senior Product Manager & TSS


Ideal candidate: A junior-mid level product support scientist in a life science company interested in expanding into Marketing/Product Management.


SUMMARY: Provide focused support to troubleshoot, resolve, and track product-related issues. Assist in the preparation and organization of technical content to support marketing of product and service offerings. This position will also provide support for any marketing initiatives to further company goals.



  • Evaluate, prioritize and provide technical product support to customers via phone, email, live chat, etc. for antibody-related applications (e.g. ELISA, Western, Flow Cytometry). Handle issue recognition, research, resolution, and follow-up in a timely manner.
  • Work with internal departments (eg Quality Control, Production, Product Development) to obtain product information and troubleshooting tips as needed.
  • Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) database to track interactions.
  • Develop and update technical customer-facing content (e.g. copy writing, Technical Data Sheets, eNewsletters, FAQs, troubleshooting guides, application notes, whitepapers, etc.)
  • Collect and curate product citations to maintain database.
  • Organize internal repository of product & service data. (May participate in benchwork to generate further data.)
  • Collaborate with marketing team to design product-focused automations
  • Perform additional duties and/or other projects as required or assigned.

  • 4-year degree in life science-related major with 1+ year of experience of direct customer interaction responding to technical inquiries preferred.
  • Familiarity with ELISA and antibody applications as well as antibody, protein, and ELISA kit development preferred. Solid knowledge of immunological techniques such as ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry (IHC), and cell-based assays preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills (phone, email, online chat, etc.) with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and effectively.
  • Creative and analytical thinker with a strong problem-solving mindset. Display an ability to independently resolve issues. Demonstrate a strong willingness to help others with their problems. Must be dependable and reliable.
  • Able to multi-task and handle competing priorities. Able to operate with a high level of autonomy, to learn quickly, and to adapt as needed. Strong willingness to learn a must.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
