Alok Pandey, Ph.D. Vice President, Scientific Services Dr. Pandey develops new Assay Services business, maintains client relationships, and is the primary conduit of communication with both domestic and international clients. He also contributes to the development of overall business strategy, provides support for Marketing activities, and contributes to scientific strategy. Prior to his current role, Dr. Pandey served as Director, Assay Services, in which capacity he managed the operations of PBL’s Assay Services business, leading the team that develops and performs immunoassays, antiviral and other bioassays, ELISAs, and other services for the characterization of proteins and reagents. Before joining PBL, Dr. Pandey led the biomarker immunoassay development group at Enzo Life Sciences. During his postdoctoral research at Rutgers Medical School, he examined mitochondrial dysfunctions and protein-protein interactions, identified novel functions for several proteins involved in Fe-S cluster synthesis, and identified a drug candidate for Friedreich's ataxia, a rare neurodegenerative disorder. He was also involved in developing a number of novel biochemical assays and immunoassays. As part of his doctoral research at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Dr. Pandey studied epigenetic reprogramming and transcription regulation in mammalian cloned embryos. |
